Are we of the world or just in it?

So, having spent 4 days in Nsangi Uganda, I have been thinking about God's admonition to us to live in the world and not be of the world.

Our first priority should be to honor God and seek His will.  When I was in

Africa, I noticed that #1 the people loved God and each other. #2 There was no grumbling or complaining. #3 When the church doors are open the whole body is there.

They are a happy people with great needs, but seem to be content with where they are at.  They are greatful that their NEEDS are met.

How often we as americans become consumed with what we need to do and complain when traffic is slow, the line is long or we couldn't find the right brand of shampoo.  We tend to be critical, and hot tempered.  Our language is ungodly.  This is including us Christians, and I confess that I can be that way too.  No wonder our churches aren't showing a lot of growth. How can we bring people to  Christ, if we are not a living example. Living by faith and not by sight.  If we stop living of the world, people may stop to see why we are the way we are.  What the reason for our peace and happiness is.  Then they will want to taste and see that the Lord is good.

Let's strive to live in the world more and be less of the world.

Blessings
